Joanne Lakin, owner of the Myztic Isle, will be the first to share with you how her lifelong obsession to own a Bookstore & Healing Center was finally realized.
Joanne Lakin always had the same dream, that someday she would have a spiritual bookstore where everyone was welcome to linger a moment during their day and know “peace”. All her life she kept a journal that reflected her intentions. Her vision included the “Circle of Friendship” that is basically, a circle of chairs, where people can sit and exchange ideas and maybe even take something positive away with them. The circle is alive and well, please join us.
The universe, after hunting for a place to start her healing center most of her life, presented the current location. Their were lots of things that could have stopped her from finally realizing her dream but she took the leap and has not regretted her decision. Leslie Monahan, one of the former owners of Myztic Isle, helped Joanne make the transition by becoming her mentor, guide and friend.
Making money has never been the primary objective for its creation. The mission statement of the Myztic Isle, is one that is dedicated to the creation of opportunities for people to practice their unique purpose, for the betterment of all people everywhere on our planet. Embracing and empowering, where we can. All judgements left outside our sacred space.
